Review Board 1.7.2 Release Notes¶
Release date: January 16, 2013
New Features¶
Added bug tracker support for VersionOne. Patch by nn1436401. (Bug #2680)
Added support for
ssl:
-prefixed P4PORTs for Perforce 2012.1+.Perforce 2012.1 introduced actual SSL support, indicated by an
ssl:
prefix for the P4PORT. Review Board now understands this and will do the right thing. However, this requires that p4python is specially compiled with OpenSSL support, and that the system has development headers for OpenSSL 1.0.1. P4PythonInstaller doesn’t do this, so users who need this feature will currently have to compile p4python manually, providing the path to the SSL directory using
--ssl
.Added support for moved file handling for Perforce.
Files moved using p4 move and posted with post-review in the upcoming RBTools 0.4.3 will show up as have been moved in the diff viewer, instead of showing up as one big deleted file and one big moved file. If there were changes made, they’ll be shown as modifications to the original file.
This feature was sponsored by NetApp, Inc.
Bug Fixes¶
Fixed an HTML escaping issue when listing filenames in the diff viewer.
Any filenames consisting of HTML-unsafe characters were being interpreted. In theory, this could be used to inject scripts into the diff viewer page when uploading a diff (though in practice, our diff parsing wouldn’t allow it). We now make sure the filenames are escaped properly.
Fixed the display of the static media instructions in rb-site.
These weren’t showing up for all users. Now a new upgrade from pre-1.7 will always show the instructions for upgrading the static media settings.
Attempting to install on Python 2.4 will now display a helpful error before failing, instead of a cryptic error.
Fixed the display of file attachment names in review request change descriptions that don’t have captions.
Fixed the default file-based cache path used when creating a new site. Patch by Raja Venkataraman. (Bug #2826)
The Review Board Activity widget in the administration UI will now clear the data shown when the datasets are unselected. Patch by Bogdana Popa. (Bug #2846)
Fixed capitalization of the navigation bar entries to be consistent. Patch by Matthias Krüger.
Fixed the link to the PyLucene documentation in the General Settings page.
Fixed default Apache configuration files to be explicit in enabling
FollowSymLinks
.Fixed timezone warnings when running the search index command. (Bug #2830)
If the database has older time fields the lack timezone information (pre-1.7), generating a search index would spew warnings for each field, possibly causing e-mails when run from crontab. This will no longer happen.
