Djblets 1.0.8 Release Notes¶
Release date: November 6, 2018
Updated all deprecation warnings to use version-specific classes.
Deprecated functionality now warns with a version-specific class, such as
djblets.deprecation.RemovedInDjblets20Warning. This helps developers have a better sense of when deprecated functions, classes, and modules are scheduled to go away.
All existing deprecation warnings, including those intended for removal by Djblets 1.0 that haven’t been removed yet, have all been re-scheduled for removal in Djblets 2.0. Please make sure to update code accordingly.
Enabling an extension will no longer trigger database synchronization/evolution unless there are model changes.
This improves performance when enabling extensions, when starting up web server threads, and when running unit tests for extensions without models. It also helps prevents premature database changes for models in other Django apps when loading the extension manager.
