Power Pack 1.4 Release Notes¶

Power Pack is now usable for up to 2 people without a license.

Previously, we allowed Power Pack to be used for up to 2 users for free once the 30 day trial had ended, but this meant having to install a trial license first. We now allow Power Pack to be used without a license at all.

Once you enable Power Pack and add a user to your license, you’re ready to go. You can play with all the current features of Power Pack, and save your trial license activation for when you’re all ready to go.

Power Pack features can now be globally enabled or disabled.

The Power Pack configuration page now provides a list of all the features offered, showing whether they’re enabled and whether the license permits or restricts them. Administrators can enable or disable any permitted feature, turning off, for example, reports or PDF document review. This can be useful when running in environments where certain features are not needed and should not be accessed.

Added management commands for changing licensing settings and the list of licensed users.

The new license-powerpack-users management command (invoked by rb-site manage /path/to/site license-powerpack-users takes a list of usernames and adds them to the license.

The unlicense-powerpack-users command does the opposite. It takes a lsit of usernames and removes them from the license.

The config-powerpack-license command allows a license file to be installed, and allows for the configuration of the Automatic User Licensing feature.

These are helpful when automating deployments of Review Board and Power Pack.
